Community Guidelines

What gets accepted into StreamRSC Resources.

The quality bar and review process for community-submitted overlays, plugins, and widgets.

What we accept

Resources must be relevant to livestreaming or content creation: OBS Studio plugins and scripts, browser-source overlays, stream widgets, shader effects, creator video tools, or similar. If it wouldn't help a streamer or creator produce their stream, it doesn't belong here.

The quality bar

  • It has to actually work as described — we test the download or repo link before publishing.
  • A working download link, GitHub repo, or install source is required. We don't host files ourselves; your link is the source of truth.
  • Pricing must be clear. Free, paid, or "free with paid tier" are all fine — hidden costs or bait-and-switch pricing are not.
  • Include a real screenshot or preview image of the actual tool in use, not stock art or a logo.
  • A short, accurate description. We'll trim marketing language that doesn't describe what the tool does.

Not accepted

  • Malware, cracked or pirated software, or anything bundling unwanted installers.
  • Cryptocurrency miners or anything that repurposes a user's hardware without clear, prominent disclosure.
  • NSFW content or anything violating platform terms of service (Twitch, YouTube, Discord, etc.).
  • Spam, duplicate listings of the same tool, or submissions with no real functionality.
  • Content you don't have the rights to share.

AI-assisted submissions

If a tool was built with significant AI assistance, disclose it during submission using the AI-disclosure checkbox. We show this disclosure on the published listing — it isn't a reason for rejection, just a transparency requirement.

Review process

Every submission starts as pending. We review it against the standards above and either publish it or reject it with a reason. We don't guarantee a review timeline, but most submissions are reviewed within a few days. You'll be notified of the outcome.

After publishing

We may edit descriptions for clarity, fix broken links you report, or unpublish a listing if it stops working, its license changes, or it's later found to violate these guidelines. If you want your own submission removed, contact us with the resource URL.

Hosting and liability

StreamRSC does not host, review the source code of, or guarantee the safety of third-party downloads. We link to what the publisher provided. Download and use community resources at your own discretion — see our Terms of Service for details.
