Add this plugin to your streaming toolkit
Use this tool when your workflow needs more control, automation, or visual flexibility inside OBS. The best approach is to try it on a duplicate scene collection first, then move it into your main production setup once it behaves as expected.
For this specific resource, the key value is: Meet Fly Scoreboard, a lightweight, fully dockable plugin for OBS Studio built for creators who want a clean, customizable scoreboard. Use the link below only after reading the details above so visitors understand what they are opening and why it belongs in their streaming workflow.
I built Fly Scoreboard for creators who want a clean, professional scoreboard inside OBS Studio
without relying on external services, cloud dashboards, or local web servers. It is a lightweight, fully dockable OBS
plugin designed to work natively within your broadcasting workflow. There are no background processes, no bundled
servers, and no extra software running behind the scenes. I simply drop the plugin into the
obs-plugins/64bit directory, restart OBS, and it works immediately.
The goal behind Fly Scoreboard is simple: give streamers a fast, stable, and customizable scoreboard that feels like a natural extension of OBS Studio. Whether I am streaming esports, local tournaments, school competitions, or friendly matches, I want something reliable and easy to control in real time. This plugin delivers exactly that.
Compatibility
Fly Scoreboard has been tested primarily on Windows using OBS Studio 32.0.2. It is designed to integrate directly into the OBS dock system, ensuring native performance and smooth interaction with scenes and sources. If you are testing on macOS or Linux and encounter issues, I recommend submitting a detailed report including your operating system, OBS version, and reproduction steps. This feedback helps improve cross-platform stability and long-term compatibility.
Because Fly Scoreboard runs as a native OBS plugin, performance is efficient and predictable, without the instability that sometimes comes from browser-based overlays or external control panels.
Installation
Installing Fly Scoreboard takes less than a minute. I copy the appropriate binary file into the OBS plugin directory, restart OBS Studio, and the dock becomes available inside the interface.
On Windows, I copy the .dll file. On macOS or Linux, I copy the .so file. The target folder
is:
obs-studio/obs-plugins/64bit/
After restarting OBS, the plugin initializes automatically. It prepares its internal state and overlay assets on first launch, so there is no manual configuration required just to get started. From there, I can add the Fly Scoreboard dock to my workspace and begin configuring teams, scores, and timer settings.
Customization and Overlay Control
One of the strongest advantages of Fly Scoreboard is its flexibility. If I am comfortable working with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, I can fully customize the appearance and behavior of the scoreboard overlay. This makes it ideal for streamers who want a branded broadcast look that matches their theme, sponsor requirements, or tournament identity.
overlay/index.html - Controls the layout and structure of the scoreboard.
overlay/style.css - Defines visual styling, colors, spacing, and themes.
overlay/script.js - Manages rendering logic and live data binding.
The plugin automatically generates and updates a plugin.json file that stores live scoreboard data. This
separation between logic and design allows me to safely modify the visual layer without affecting match data or timer
state. I can iterate on the look and feel of the overlay while maintaining consistent and persistent match
information.
Core Features
Fly Scoreboard includes everything I need for live match management directly inside OBS:
- Home and Guest Team Configuration: I can set team names, subtitles, and logos.
- Flexible Timer Control: Supports count-up and countdown modes, with pause and reset options.
- Hotkey Support: I can increment or decrement scores instantly during live play.
- Show and Hide Toggle: Quickly control scoreboard visibility within scenes.
- Swap Function: Instantly flip team sides for halftime or side changes.
- Persistent State: Scores and timers restore automatically between OBS sessions.
- Resource Efficient: Runs as a native dock without external services.
Built for Serious Streamers
Fly Scoreboard is designed for reliability, simplicity, and performance. I do not depend on third-party platforms or external dashboards to manage scores. Everything runs locally inside OBS, which means fewer points of failure and a more controlled broadcasting environment.
If I value clean overlays, stable performance, and deep customization without complexity, Fly Scoreboard provides a practical and professional solution. It integrates seamlessly into my OBS workflow and gives me full control over how match data appears on screen.
